Customer Reviews

Dimitris Froudakis

5 out of 5 stars

"This trip was amazing! Everything was smoothly organized, but what stood out most was the breathtaking nature and ever-changing scenery. We also got to learn about the culture of the places we visited, which made it even more special. We hiked about 70 km in five days through the Greek mountains – challenging for a first-time hiker, but completely worth it. "

Great hike with an experienced local guide, Kostas. He is detailed and attentive to the need of our group, guiding us through interesting trails and scenic view point.

This was a fantastic experience that far exceeded our expectations. Every day was a highlight. The tour leader didn't waste a minute, ensuing we only spent time on the most spectacular hikes then moving us from place to place via evenings in beautiful Greek villages and nights in well chosen accommodation. We often felt like we were on a movie set - on the hikes with extraordinary views, in the villages, surrounded by locals who treated us like locals, and in boutique accommodation where we always felt special. Could we have done this without Monopati ? No chance... local knowledge that we didn't have added more than we could ever have experienced on our own. We've done plenty of 'self-guided' tours and some with guides, but none have come close to our Monopati experience.

I hiked the 4 bridges, Vikos Gorge and Dragon Lake. Such beautiful countryside. Kostas was an amazing guide. Stayed in beautiful traditional accommodation and had had the best meals I have eaten in Greece. Back to the hiking - truly a beautiful part of Greece.
