Booking Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a trek with Monopati Hike n’ Bike, you agree to be bound by these
terms and conditions. Please ensure that you read and understand them fully before
confirming your booking.
2. Reservations and Payments
- For some tours a deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your
reservation. The amount of the deposit will be specified based on the trek chosen.
- Full payment is due no later than 30 days prior to the start date of the trek. If the
booking is made less than 30 days before the start, full payment is required at the
time of booking.
3. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the start of the trek will receive a
full refund minus a service charge.
- Cancellations made 30 to 60 days prior to the start will result in a loss of 50% of
the trip price.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to departure will not be eligible for a
refund.
In the case of no-shows, no refunds will be given.
4. Cancellations by the Client
We reserve the right to make changes to the scheduled trekking plans due to
weather conditions, participant safety, or other factors beyond our control. In the
event of such changes, we will do our best to provide a comparable alternative.
5. Changes and Cancellations by Us
We reserve the right to cancel any trek before it begins for reasons including but
not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, or insufficient participants. In such
cases, a full refund of all payments made to us will be given, but we accept no
further liability.
We also reserve the right to make minor itinerary adjustments due to weather
conditions, participant abilities, or other unforeseen circumstances.
6. Insurance
Is is strongly recommended all participants to have their own travel insurance that
covers trekking or hiking or biking***
- The insurance must cover personal injury, medical expenses, loss of belongings,
and emergency evacuation.
7. Health and Safety
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit and adequately
prepared for the trek. You must share any medical conditions or dietary restrictions
with us at the time of booking.
8. Tour Participation and Client Responsibility
In a tour setting, participants are expected to recognize and respect the authority of
tour leaders, who are responsible for guiding the group safely and efficiently.
Clients must follow the leaders' instructions, particularly regarding schedules,
safety protocols, and local customs. This adherence is crucial not only for the
safety of the individual but also for the group's overall harmony and success. Tour
leaders are trained to make decisions that best serve the interests of the group,
including handling emergencies and ensuring compliance with the itinerary and
rules. Respecting their guidance helps create a positive and secure environment for
everyone involved.
9. Acceptance of Risk
By booking a tour with Monopati Hike n’ Bike, you acknowledge the inherent
risks involved, including adverse weather, difficult terrain, and potential wildlife
encounters. You accept personal responsibility for your safety and agree to not
hold Monopati Hike n’ Bike liable for any injuries or damages unless due to our
gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Participation is voluntary, and you
confirm you are physically capable of undertaking this activity. This agreement
absolves Monopati Hike n’ Bike of liability, acknowledging you understand and
accept these terms.
10. Liability
- We shall not be liable for any damages caused by the total or partial failure to
carry out the contract if such failure is attributable to the client, or unforeseeable or
unavoidable failures attributed to third parties unconnected to our services, or
caused by force majeure or an event that we or our subcontractors could not, even
with all due care, foresee or forestall.
11. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected
during the booking process will be used solely for processing your trip and will not
be shared with third parties without your consent.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with
the laws of Greece Republic
