CULTURAL TRAIL: WALKING THROUGH LIVING TRADITIONS

Walking routes shaped by history, local traditions, and everyday life in Greece’s mountain regions
Dates
May, October
Duration
9 Days

Overview

The Cultural Trail invites you to walk through the heart of Zagori, where mountain paths connect villages shaped by stone and time. Each step reveals the region’s architecture — arched bridges, cobbled paths, and houses built with the same craft that has defined Zagori for centuries.

Along the way, you meet people who still weave, farm, and cook as their families once did. You share simple meals, learn the stories behind their work, and see how tradition remains part of daily life.

Through hiking, the landscape and its people unfold together — a meeting of nature, craft, and quiet hospitality. This is a journey through living culture, where every stone and every path holds a trace of human hands.

Customer Reviews

Inge Huiskes

5 out of 5 stars

The combination of walking in the unspoiled nature of Zagori (Unesco World Heritage) and several surprising cultural events was amazing. Kostas is the best guide you can wish. Very friendly and flexible. The Greek dishes in the restaurants were great. All in all, a fantastic vacation with beautiful memories that we will never forget. :-)

The entire trip was super taken care of from start to finish in an authentic way. No luxury like on a cruise ship but real people with their stories and experiences. In addition, Kostas is just a good guy who I credit with building this into a great success!
